Focus on VBS Helpdesk

VBS Telephone Helpdesk

The VBS helpdesk provide 24 hour help and support to users of the VBS system and hauliers arriving at the terminal.

The helpdesk was set up and introduced when the VBS system was enhanced and made mandatory in June of this year. Its purpose is to provide help and guidance to haulage controllers and lorry drivers who use the new Simplified Vehicle Booking System.  The helpdesk personnel offer support answering queries from controllers regarding making and amending bookings together with resolving any problems. They also provide information for new users who need to access the system for the first time.

The helpful attitude of the team means they are also perfect for providing support to the drivers once they are in the terminal. This varies from providing help via the intercoms situated at the various pedestals, to attending the seal check kiosks to assist drivers when there is a problem entering the seals on the imports they are collecting.
