Southampton Container Terminals (SCT) has invested over £110,000 in six new fifteen seat minibuses to complement its existing fleet of vehicles.  The vehicles are used to transport terminal operators around the terminal as required. 

To enhance the safety of employees travelling in the buses each vehicle has been equipped with a speed limiter system set to a maximum of 30 mph and an interlock system which prevents the vehicles being driven whilst the doors are open.  To ensure pedestrian safety each vehicle also has a reversing bleeper.

The new buses are also better for the environment and have been purchased in line with the company’s commitment to reducing our environmental impact and helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
