Southampton Container Terminals (SCT) has been recognised by Business Southampton for the innovative work carried out to develop the terminal’s Vehicle Booking System (VBS).  SCT received its award at Business Southampton’s recent conference on 28 February 2008.

A total of 50 innovations were submitted by various businesses across Southampton, known as City Champions, with only five City Champions being recognised for their investments into innovation.

Campbell Mason, Managing Director, SCT, said:

“We were delighted to be recognised by Business Southampton for the terminal’s Vehicle Booking System.  The system has been in place and operating well since June 2005 and we have seen very positive results coming from this innovation.”

Each award was individually designed by local artist, Tracey Spice, who used the waste paper from the Business Southampton office and the wave from the Business Southampton logo to create the awards.
