6 June 2006 saw SCT celebrate the first birthday of VBS, the mandatory vehicle booking system.VBS has enabled SCT to increase its performance levels to its customers and provide the consistent turnaround times they require.

VBS has received widespread acclaim from the UK haulage industry, major retail businesses and international shipping lines. In a recent survey conducted by SCT 91% of users found the system user friendly.

One user said: “VBS has given us the confidence to return to SCT again to resume business there without the worry of lost revenue and down time waiting at the port.”
