SCT Handles Largest Container Ship Ever

Fidelio comes up Southampton Waters

Southampton Container Terminals Ltd (SCT) welcomed recently (29 June 2006) the CMA CGM Fidelio, setting a new record as the largest declared container ship to call at Southampton in the terminal’s history.

The CMA CGM Fidelio with a capacity of 9,415 TEU, a gross tonnage of 109,000 tonnes and a length of 350 metres arrived at SCT at 1600 hrs.The vessel received five cranes on arrival and departed SCT at 0415 hrs on 30 June 2006 destined for Malta.
