The BIFA Freight Service Awards are now in their twentieth year and have been established to encourage and reward high standards and professionalism, and represent the recognition of special achievements in different sectors of the freight services industry.
SCT chose to sponsor the ‘Deep Sea’ award and Patrick Walters, Deputy Regional Director, Europe & NW Africa, DP World formed part of the judging panel for entrants for the award.
After much deliberation, the panel agreed on a shortlist of four finalists including the following companies; Ideal Forwarding Ltd, M A Logistics Ltd, Orion Shipping & Forwarding Ltd and RIF Worldwide Ltd.
The winner of the award, MA Logistics Ltd, was announced at a presentation held on 18 January 2007.
Talking about his involvement in the judging, Patrick Walters said:
“The quality of entrants for the deep sea award was very high, which made the panel’s job hard to shortlist the four finalist and even harder to decide on a winner. My congratulations go to the winner, M A Logistics Ltd, but I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the entrants for their contributions.”
