As part of Southampton Container Terminals’ Ltd (SCT) commitment to supporting charities, projects and groups that benefit the community in which we all live and work, the company has become a British Heart Foundation Heart Pioneer.

SCT has donated £1,000 to the British Heart Foundation to help support the costs of the charity’s research programmes across the UK as well as the 30 British Heart Foundation Professors in conducting their vital work.

Talking about the company’s donation, Campbell Mason, Managing Director, SCT, said:

“We are proud to be able to support the British Heart Foundation and the highly valuable work that they do.  In particular, I’m pleased to know that our donation will support research that is showing that heart disease begins very early in life, and more importantly, is controllable before it becomes a clinical problem.”
