During April and June, a total of 61 employees from across the company took part in the first batch of DP World Institute Fundamentals of Terminal Operations (FTO) Courses. 

The objective of the FTO course is to convey the importance of everyone’s contribution to areas of safety, team building, customer service and both landside and shipside operations with the ultimate goal of satisfying the terminal’s customers.

Talking about the course, Steve Ware, Training Coordinator said:

“The FTO course is different to other training courses in that it is delivered by members of the SCT management team, which enables a sense of team work and the opportunity for course members to feedback on how they feel terminal operations can be improved.”

The course was a huge success amongst the employees that attended and it is the intention for the course to be run on future occasions to ensure that other operational and engineering staff are given the opportunity to attend.
